After considerable reflection on the current state of mainstream social media - where billionaire stewards prioritize profit margins over public discourse and truth itself - I have made the deliberate choice to withdraw from these platforms on January 15th.
The algorithmic amplification of misinformation, coupled with an intentional defunding of content moderation, has transformed these digital spaces from forums of connection into engines of division. When titans of industry, blessed with resources beyond measure, actively choose against safeguarding our shared digital commons, they reveal priorities I can no longer tacitly endorse through my continued participation.
The abdication of responsibility by platform leaders, particularly in service of political expediency to Donald Trump, represents not merely a business decision, but a moral one. It is a choice that ripples through our democracy, our discourse, and our shared understanding of truth.
Moving forward, you can find my contributions on platforms that still honor the covenant between publishers and readers - Medium, Substack, and this blog - where the currency is ideas rather than outrage and where thoughtful discourse still finds fertile ground.
I look forward to continuing our conversations in spaces more conducive to genuine dialogue and the honest exchange of ideas.
